Agri-ElectronicsDevelopments in technology have not percolated to the masses working in the area of agriculture & lot needs to de done to introduce automation at all levels in agriculture. Increase in raw & processed agricultural produce would be possible only by using improved farming practices.

Aim of Agri Electronics Lab is to bring the technology to the farmers by way of training manpower, undertaking projects, & developing new sustainable technologies for agriculture.

Opto-Electronics

Opto-ElectronicsThe revolution in the field of information technology has created an ever increasing demand on data transfer, information storage and retrieval. The existing technologies employing the use of electronics have attained their limitations. Use of Photons have come to the r rescue and the technology is entering every walk of life is Optoelectronics

Opto electronics, broadly defined is the integration of Electronics, Optics and Light. The term light includes both visible and infra red (IR), Opto electronics devices includes Light emitters (Laser / LED) Photo-detectors, Optical fibers and Visual displays. Keeping in view of the recent developments and to create indigenous capabilities in advanced areas of state of the art technology, DOEACC Aurangabad (then CEDT) established Optoelectronics activity during 1993 and declared it as one of the thrust area of operation.

The major activities in the area of Optoelectronics are
Manpower training (Formal as well as Training programs)
R & D, Product Development, Industry Interaction / Services
