Educationl Consultancy Schemes / Introduction
 Introduction
 With the experience of quality education in electronics & computer of CEDTI Aurangabad and to utilise its expert manpower & established infrastructure for the common man, CEDTI, as early as 1995 launched Technical consultancy/Franchise Scheme on trial basis. CEDTIA at local level introduced Franchisee Scheme as Hardware Technical Consultancy Scheme (HTCS) in 1995, Software Technical Consultancy Scheme (STCS) in 1996 and a course namely "Certificate in Information Technology (CIT)" specially designed for employees of State Government Offices in 1999.
Over the years, this franchisee scheme was refined in its syllabus, administration / management and in its implementation.
With the aim of creating self-employment for lower middle and middle class educated youths and at the same time to meet the challenge of quality education/training for the masses, CEDTI Franchisee Schem (CFS) was launched in 1999 to promote high quality Computer and IT education in the country at an affordable cost while ensuring uniform standards in order to build national resource of trained manpower.
Under this scheme, the private institutions, passing the stipulated quality and service standards / criteria framed by CEDTIA, were authorized to conduct Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma programmes. However, CEDTI conducts the examination for the authorized training modules / courses being conducted at such Authorised Training Centres (ATCs) and evaluates centrally. Certificates are awarded by CEDTI New Delhi to the successful candidates. State-of-the-art training is provided keeping in view the existing and emerging needs of the industrial and government sectors.
CEDTIA had a wide network of ATCs located in various districts / talukas of Maharashtra to impart computer education. About 40,000 employees of Governembnet of Maharashtra have been benefited by the training provided through ATCs on CIT. CEDTIA courses were also recognized by Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB) for voluntary training in Computer by their employees.
The refinement of scheme's syllabus and implementation procedure is a continuing process for the centre. Due to popularity of CFS with high quality standard and service, large spectra of society of western part of the country has been benefited. The salient features are Value addition, better employment opportunity and Opportunity to learn new software packages concurrently with on-going studies / work.
