Credit
System
A Credit System based on the AICTE norms has been
introduced for indicating the efforts required to
pass a specific level of course for the first time
under the DOEACC Scheme. Award of credit to a student
shall facilitate quantitative evaluation / comparison
of study hours including Theory lectures, Tutorials
and Practical Assignments put in a given paper / subject
under the Scheme with similar courses in IT and Electronics
offered by Universities and others in India and abroad
for considering academic and professional equivalence
of DOEACC courses. This shall also help students /
organizations to transfer credits from DOEACC to other
academic bodies i.e. Universities / Apex / Accrediting
bodies and vice-versa for ensuring continuing education.
The subjectwise credits earned by a student, based
on the number of lectures, tutorials and practicals
hours per week, are mentioned alongwith subjects under
subsection " Course Structure" of the concerned
level.
Credits are calculated based on the formula C
= L + (P + T)/ 2
Where
C = Credit of a subject
/ course
L = Lecture hours per
week
P = Practical hours per
week
T = Tutorial hours per
week
