A four-week vocational training is arranged for DEPM students during the summer vacation at the end of 4th semester session. Attendance of this training is compulsory. A two weeks entrepreneurship Development / Awareness programme is arranged for the final semester students which is also compulsory.

The students themselves with guidance from the Staff Supervisory Committee manage the mess in the hostel. The students are charged the actual cost of materials and services rendered by the mess staff. The students, boarders as well as day scholars are required to strictly abide by the rules of the center failing which; disciplinary action may be taken against them.
